💬 Double the chaos. Triple the charm. Fortune favors the bold… again.

Review:
Operation Fortune: Ruse of War 2 (2025) brings back the slick espionage, sharp wit, and globe-trotting madness of the first film—only bigger, faster, and even funnier. Director Guy Ritchie returns with his signature flair for stylized action and razor-sharp dialogue, once again anchoring the chaos around the unflappable Orson Fortune, played with effortless cool by Jason Statham.

This time, the stakes are global. When a rogue tech billionaire threatens to auction off a quantum AI weapon to the highest bidder, Fortune and his eccentric team are called back into action. From neon-soaked Tokyo alleys to the icy docks of Oslo, the mission is deadly—but the laughs are as lethal as the gunfights.

Aubrey Plaza once again delivers a scene-stealing performance as the sardonic tech expert Sarah Fidel, whose fast-talking sass is as sharp as her hacking. Hugh Grant returns as the delightfully unpredictable arms dealer Greg Simmonds—this time forced into an uneasy alliance with Fortune when his empire is targeted.

New to the cast is Henry Golding as a rival MI6 agent with style, sarcasm, and a few secrets of his own. His verbal sparring with Statham is a highlight—slick, smug, and dangerously entertaining.

The film’s action is slick and inventive, from a high-speed gondola chase through Venice to a daring infiltration of a floating black-market auction in international waters. The gunplay is fast, the hand-to-hand fights brutal, and the one-liners even sharper.

But beyond the bullets and banter, Ruse of War 2 adds more depth to Orson’s character, exploring the thin line between doing the job and doing what’s right. Don’t worry—he still kicks in doors and throws punches like a pro.

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5)
Stylish, funny, and action-packed—Operation Fortune: Ruse of War 2 proves that spy games are best played with grit, charm, and a very large gun.
